2023 DRWS Spring Clean-up A Success!

The Duck River Watershed Society held its second Spring Clean-up event on Saturday, March 4, 2023 at the Firelake Boat Ramp in Manchester, Coffee County, Tennessee.By all measures this year’s event was an overwhelming success.

Our volunteer team of more than 75 individuals collected 5,000 pounds of refuse and over 100 tires from the Duck River Watershed around Normandy Lake.  This family friendly event featured free giveaways, food, and developed a sense of empowerment in our participants.

All this could not have been possible without our sponsors:  The Tennessee Valley Authority, The Tennessee Duck River Agency, Coffee County Middle School, LKQ Corporation, Coffee County-Rural Solid Waste, Tennessee Bass Nation, and The Webb School.  We are excited about beginning our planning efforts for our next Clean-up event slated for the first weekend in March of 2024.
