Brian received his Bachelor’s Degree of Forest Resource Management from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. In 1999 he was awarded a Master’s Degree in Outdoor Teacher Education from Southern Adventist University.
Brian’s work experience includes a Teacher/Naturalist position with the Chattanooga Nature Center. He also has over 30 years of service with the Webb School as a Science Teacher and the Director of their Wilderness Instruction and Leadership Development program before retiring in 2018. Brian still consults with the school on a regular basis.
Brian has been married to his wife Ruth since 1979 and together they have two daughters, Amanda Wofford and Brianna Smithle.
